Shanghai International Film Festival ready for action this June

Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) announced that the annual event will take place from June 14 to 23 this year.
The opening ceremony will be held on the evening of June 15, and the Golden Goblet Awards Ceremony will take place on June 22, both at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.
By the end of March, SIFF received more than 3,300 entries from 105 countries and regions, with over 2,300 films being submitted for the Golden Goblet Awards' main competition: Asian New Talent, Documentary, Animation and Short Film. The list of nominees for the Golden Goblet Awards is expected to be announced in May.
As the only international competitive feature film festival in China, SIFF serves as a crucial corridor for the world to perceive signals of Chinese film development. This year SIFF will further cooperation and exchanges between member countries of the Belt and Road Film Festival Alliance. It will screen films recommended by institutions from Belt and Road countries across the Yangtze River Delta region, initiating dialogues across borders.
The SIFF screening invitation has received responses from 114 cinemas in Shanghai.
